What is Improved History?

Improved History is a multi-browser addon that let you render your browser history in toolbar popup UI in a stylish manner. It is basically a substitute for history page in your browser. Once you open toolbar popup you will see the activity tab (first tab on top left corner). Within the activity tab there are weekdays listed horizontally. Below that there are the history items listed vertically. Simply click on a day and the vertical list will jump to the specified day. Each history item has a - delete - button next to it. Moreover, you can click on the - more from site - button to see all items related to this one within the history. There is also a search tab next to the activity tab which you can use to search for desired keywords within the history. The last tab is for the settings with a single button to clear all history. Please note that, clearing history is irreversible, in other words, you cannot bring back the deleted items in the history once it is cleared.

How can I work with this addon?

As mentioned above, working with this addon is very easy. Simply open toolbar popup UI and view the history list. Click on any day to see all the items for that day. As mentioned above, if you want to search for a keyword or URL, please type-in your keyword in the search field and press enter.

Does this addon has any options or settings to adjust?

There is not a separate options or settings page for this addon. However, there is a settings tab in toolbar popup UI, but currently only one - clear - button is available.

How can I open links in a new tab?

In order to open link in a new tab, simply open toolbar popup UI and then click on any link. The toolbar popup will be closed and the link will open in a new tab. Please note that currently there is no way to open links in the background tab (without closing toolbar popup UI).

What happens when I click on the delete button next to history item?

When you click on the delete button, all the history in the specified hour will be deleted. As mentioned above, when you delete a history item, it will be deleted completely from the memory and this procedure is irreversible.

Can I open history in a new tab instead of toolbar popup UI?

No, unfortunately history UI is only available in toolbar popup and not in a separate tab.

Can I open history page together with popup UI?

Yes, there is no confliction between these two interfaces. However, when you update one, you might need to reload the history page or re-open toolbar popup UI for changes to take effect.

Is this addon available for mobile browsers?

Yes, this addon is available for both desktop and mobile machines in all operating systems (Windows, Linux and Mac).
